Early Wednesday morning on March 28, Jim Wyatt published an update on the latest mock draft from NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.

In Kiper’s initial mock draft, he had the Titans taking hybrid defensive end/linebacker Harold Landry out of Boston College with the 25th pick of the first round. In Kiper’s mock 2.0 edition Kiper had Tennessee choosing Ronald Jones II the halfback out of the University of Southern California.

For Kiper’s mock 3.0 he reverted back to his initial pick, saying that the Titans will snag Harold Landry with their pick.

Kiper gave insight on ESPN.com as to why he thinks Harold Landry is a good fit for the Titans.

“Landry is the top 3-4 outside linebacker in this class, an elite edge rusher when he’s at his best,” Kiper said. “That wasn’t in 2017, as he missed five games with an ankle injury. He dominated in 2016, though, with 16.5 sacks and looked like a potential top-five pick. The team that selects Landry will hope he can replicate his 2016 form. Tennessee needs to get younger at outside linebacker, and starters Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan will be free agents next March.”
